The Iranian Journal of Animal Biosystematics (IJAB) is pleased to announce that, beginning with Volume 23, Issue 1 (2027), the journal will adopt a Continuous Publication model.
Under this publishing model, accepted manuscripts will be published online individually as soon as they have successfully completed the peer-review, editorial, and production processes, without waiting for the completion of an entire issue. Each article will be assigned its final citation details, including volume, issue, page or article number (as applicable), and DOI immediately upon publication.
Please note that the adoption of Continuous Publication will not affect the journal's publication frequency. IJAB will continue to publish two issues per year; however, articles will be published individually as soon as they are ready for publication and will be assigned immediately to the current open issue.
For the purpose of issue management, each issue will remain open for a defined publication period. Articles accepted during this period will be published immediately upon completion of production and added consecutively to the open issue. At the end of the publication period, the issue will be closed and the next issue will be opened.
The publication schedule for Volume 23 (2027) is as follows:
Issue 1: Open from 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2027
Issue 2: Open from 1 July 2027 to 31 December 2027
This transition reflects IJAB's commitment to the timely dissemination of high-quality scientific research, reducing publication delays, and improving the accessibility and visibility of published articles in accordance with international publishing standards.
We sincerely appreciate the continued support of our authors, reviewers, and readers as we implement this important advancement in our publication process.
